The annual Christmas Party will be held at Gungaderra Homestead in Harrison.Gungaderra Estate forms part of an early collection of rural properties in the Gungahlin region. Through successful adaptive reuse by Community Housing Canberra (CHC) it is now used by many groups in the community. The redevelopment of the original Gungaderra estate included the restoration of the heritage-listed homestead which can now be enjoyed by future generations.
Eric Martin, who prepared the Conservation Management Plan for Gungaderra Homestead, will talk about the Homestead and its conservation.
We will provide the usual Christmas refreshments - please bring a chair if possible. We do have a back-up plan for wet weather as we can use the hall!
Parking is available off Otway St, near Mapleton Avenue. Details will be in a reminder which will be sent to those booked a few days before the event.
