Major Steve Rusman is the Army Senior Radiographer and is currently posted to the 2nd Health Battalion at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane. He has deployed overseas to Iraq 3 times in support of Operation Okra, Australia’s commitment to disrupting ISIS operations in Iraq. Steve has also deployed to Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste (East TImor) and to other remote parts of Australia.

This webinar will discuss the planning and conduct of Mortuary Affairs whilst deployed on Operations. Considerations for the Command and Control of Mortuary Affairs Officers and those involved with the logistics of moving Human Remains within and out of an Area of Operations. Steve will discuss pre-incident planning and what can happen when these processes aren’t well understood. Finally he will give examples on how to setup a field mortuary, and how to change the layout to include CBRN threats.
