Burke@Bridgford: Exhibition and House Tour (SOLD OUT)
About
Frances Burke was a pioneering Australian textile and interiors designer, who collaborated with Robin Boyd and many of his contemporaries. For 3 three days in October, Boyd’s 1953 Bridgford House, commissioned by Charles “Bill” Bridgford and wife Phyllis, will be transformed into a "House Museum" and lecture space exhibiting a selection of rare and original mid-century Frances Burke fabrics, and hosting a number of Burke related talks.
Curated by Robyn Oswald-Jacobs and Jeromie Maver, this event offers visitors a rare opportunity to view Frances Burke fabrics up close, in an original and unaltered Boyd masterpiece. A selection of framed and unframed Burke fabrics will be available for purchase at the exhibition.
This is a fundraising event, with all monies raised donated to 'The Make Fund', an Australian Communities Foundation fund (VIC Fundraising License 12510).
