OPS Indigenous T-Shirt
About
OPS Parents & Friends are delighted to introduce a new Indigenous logo t-shirt to the school uniform. The bottle green, 100% cotton, crew-neck t-shirt features a design by artist Glenn Shaw, a proud Bunurong (Victoria), Trawlwoolway and Plangermairreenner (Tasmania) Aboriginal man.
The t-shirts will form an optional part of the school uniform that can be worn in place of the existing yellow and green polo shirts.
T-shirts are $20 ($19 plus online fees) each, and come in sizes 4 to Adult 2XL.
This artwork represents the Bunurong People and connection to country.
The logo includes five colours in the campsites which represent the Apical Ancestor Groups of the Bunurong People. The waterway represents local waterways, and the colours represent the different seasons and nature.
There are footprints of the Bunurong People, wallabies, wombats and bunjil (eagle). Peppermint Gum leaves, commonly used for smoking ceremonies, symbolise the oak leaf from the OPS logo.
