Comprised of some of the country's finest jazz musicians who share a deep passion for swinging music, Swing City is a Sydney-based ensemble that brings together top tier talent.Established in June 1999 by renowned drummer John Morrison, who spent two decades co-leading bands with his brother James Morrison, the band has a singular mission: to be Australia's premier swing big band. Swing City's repertoire spans the gamut of some of the world's most iconic big bands, including the likes of
Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, and even Chick Webb from the 1920s.
