Join Andrew Gaynor for a bus and walking tour to explore Clarice Beckett’s Beaumaris, beautifully captured in her paintings.Andrew is a writer, researcher and freelance Curator whose area of special interest is Australian modernism. He has held curatorial positions at the Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, the City of Boroondara, and the McClelland Gallery+Sculpture Park.
Andrew has been researching Clarice Beckett since the early 2000s and has walked Beckett’s trails identifying exact locations for many of her paintings, particularly around the artist’s home suburb of Beaumaris.
Start the tour with coffee and a croissant at Flavours Patisserie in the Concourse. Then board our luxury coach for a 45 minute drive/walk around Beaumaris. Ease of mobility required.
