CMS concert on 7 September 2024 Seraphim Trio
Seraphim Trio is as much a lifelong friendship as a chamber ensemble. Formed in Adelaide in 1995, Seraphim have established themselves as one of Australia’s most celebrated and versatile ensembles, and in 2019 were awarded an Aria Award for Best Classical Album for the recording Thirteen Ways to Look at Birds. Helen Ayres (violin). Tim Nankervis (cello) and Anna Goldsworthy (piano) are renowned for their flagship concert series and recordings, regional touring and educational workshops. They will present three of their favourite piano trios: Beethoven’s Piano Trio Op. 2 No 2; Saint-Saens’ Piano Trio No 2 in E minor; and Lili Boulanger’s evocative D’un Matin de Printemps.
