Beenleigh Theatre Group membership is $10.

All cast, crew, production teams, volunteers and those involved with groups such as A-Chord Choir and the Beenleigh Orchestra are required to be financial members of BTG.

This is an insurance requirement. (Details in Membership Rationale)

Financial members of more than 6 months are entitled to vote in our Annual General Meetings and any EGMs we may hold.

Most importantly, being a financial member means you are supporting Beenleigh Theatre Group in continuing being one of South East Queensland's most sought after community theatre groups. You allow us to keep our doors open and provide that experience that so many people love and enjoy.

The BTG committee will confirm or deny your membership application at their next committee meeting. If you do not hear from the committee, assume your membership is confirmed.

Membership Rationale

Logan City Council (LCC) own Crete Street Theatre and are liable to maintain a safe environment for all who enter their building.

Beenleigh Theatre Group (BTG) have an agreement to operate within the Crete Street Theatre and are required to protect the landlord (LCC) from legal liabilities during these operations. This includes ensuring all areas adhere to standard OHS policies and procedures, as well as everyone being fully vaccinated and covered by our insurance.

We have communicated to the public our expectations regarding vaccinations but there is still confusion about who is covered by our insurance.

There are three groups who are covered by BTG’s current insurance policies.

1. Visitors to the venue not engaging in any activity (eg. Audience members)
2. Members of BTG as outlined in the BTG constitution. These include Life Members, Financial Members (either Ordinary or Associate at $10 annual membership) or Honorary Members (as approved by the BTG Management Committee from time to time).
3. Contractors completing paid work for BTG (eg. Tutors, cleaners)

No-one else is insured by BTG and unless they are onsite under the LCC directions there is potential financial liability for both BTG and LCC.
