Walk Against Family and Domestic Violence - 1 December 2023
A walk to raise public awareness of the unacceptable level of family and domestic violence in communities across Australia will be staged in Mosman on Friday 1 December 2023.
Led by Mosman Mayor Carolyn Corrigan, the walk will begin at Rawson Oval on 1 December at 10am and conclude at the Headland Park Artist Precinct in Georges Heights. The end of the walk will feature addresses by Kerry Chikarovski AM, former Board Director of Our Watch, a national leader in the primary prevention of violence against women and their children in Australia, Phil Kearns AM, former Wallabies Captain and two-time World Cup winner and Paul Devaney, Detective Superintendent and Commander, North Shore Police Area Command.
Participants are encouraged to wear purple (a little or a lot!).
