Join us at St Kilda Library this November as First Nations authors Susie Anderson and Jeanine Leane discuss their writing practice.Wergaia and Wemba Wemba writer Susie Anderson’s debut poetry collection, the body country, is an evocative exploration of a world that too often marginalises and a meditation of wandering and wondering on Country, inviting the reader to understand the complexities and changing forms of self and love.
Wiradjuri writer, poet and Associate Professor Jeanine Leane’s poem Water under the bridge was recently selected as the 2023 winner of Australia's richest poetry award, the David Harold Tribe Poetry Award. Water under the bridge is a taut, layered and lyrical poem about legacy and inheritance.
