Far Far away day supporting make-a-wish - 1pm & 7PM Shows on saturday 10th february 2024
In 2024 we are proud to be a Community Supporter for Make-A-Wish. Throughout our Shrek season, and especially on Saturday 10 February, we will be raising funds to support the thousands of Australian children who are living with a life-threatening illness like cystic fibrosis, a heart condition, or cancer. This year, Make-A-Wish will support more than 950 critically ill kids on a Wish Journey, helping them discover that anything is possible. Together with your help, we hope to make even more unforgettable wishes come true. We ask all attendees to dress up in a fairytale costume or the colour green to show your support. On the day we will have the courtyard outside the theatre filled with games, live music, a BBQ and fun surprises to help fundraise for this wonderful cause. We hope you'll join us for 'Far Far Away Day'!
Accessible Performance - 1pm show on saturday 3rd february 2024
Accessible performances are where audience members are encouraged to be themselves. We welcome all people with disabilities and their families to the theatre. For those with sensory sensitivities and those who would benefit from a more relaxed environment, we leave the house lights on (dimmed), the auditorium doors stay open, and a designated 'chill out space' is created for audience members who need to take a break during the show. We will have extra staff on hand to provide support and audience members can also bring noise-cancelling headphones or fidget toys to assist them during the performance. The atmosphere is non-judgmental and we embrace noisy enthusiasm!
