The Faraway Trio will be launching their album 'Long long ago' at the Northcote Uniting Church at 5pm on December 3rd with support from Melbourne Amplified Strings with special guest Sarita McHarg.Forming towards the end of 2019, this somewhat unlikely collection of individuals and instruments connected and complimented each other in unexpected and exciting ways. In spite of the global pandemic they have continued to develop their unique ensemble sound, building a repertoire of original compositions which they have recently recorded. The Faraway Trio are thrilled to celebrate the release of their debut album with this very special performance.
They will be presenting their new album in its entirety which includes 8 original compositions from all members of the group, an arrangement of a piece by Claude Debussy and several improvisations.
