Ensemble Liber plus guests (SOLD OUT)
Following 2023’s successful revamp of Ensemble Liber collaboration concert series, 2024 sees them join hands once again with South Korea’s “The Eum” ensemble.
The Eum is a collective of 5 brilliant musicians hailing from Ulsan, South Korea. 2023 saw Ryeong-Eun Jang feature with her virtuosic violin pyrotechnics. She returns with fellow strings Eu-Rim Kim (va), Seung-Ah Lee (vn) and Hyo-Jin Han (vc).
They join Ensemble Liber’s resident members Haram Kim (va), Kye Yim Loh (vn) and Josh Dema (vc) for chamber repertoire masterpieces; Tchaikovsky’s monumental Souvenir de Florence, and Dohnányi’s lesser known but equally powerful Piano Quintet no. 1 in C minor.
Guest pianist Dr. Janice Hayoon Noh opens the concert with fellow pianist Younmi Oh, performing Mendelssohn’s Andante and Allegro Brillante for four hands.
Janice studied at the Yewon Korean Arts School before moving to Australia in 2001, and now holds a phD in Music Performance from MCM at the University of Melbourne.
