Canticum Chamber Choir and Orchestra, with conductor Emily Cox AM, director Anatoly Frusin, and soloists present JS Bach's moving St John Passion in their annual "Music for Holy Week" series.American choral director and conductor Hugh Ross said of the final chorale, “Bach is, as he alone knew how to be, the sublime comforter, the maker of music so transcendent in its divine benignity that there are no words with which to speak of it that would not seem impertinent.”

There are two performances during Holy Week 2024, both in the stunning acoustic of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 369 Given Tce, Paddington:
Wednesday 27 March at 7pm.
Good Friday 29 March at 5pm.
Tickets are $55 / $45 conc / $20 under 18. Early bird discounts (save $10 on all tickets) until Monday 15 January.
