Amazing Amusement Park Workshop Jan 2024
Experience the Future of Fun by creating a Robotics LEGO Amusement Park
BBC Robotics is hosting a two-day enthralling workshop that delves into the exciting engineering to create an epic Amusement Park. Students will design and build their own key attractions such as dodgem cars, ferris-wheel, spinning teacups, carousel rides, haunted house and much more.
The workshop is for enthusiastic boys and girls of all abilities focusing on building STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) skills through the use of LEGO Spike Prime kits and free-building LEGO.
There are two levels of complexity offered.
Years 2-4 will focus on daring amusement park rides.
More adventurous and daring builders (commonly Year 4-5) can extend themselves to design and build the ultimate arcade claw machine. The claw will be fully operational using 3D modelling and mechatronic control. Teachers and coaches will supervise the workshop. All computers and software will be provided, but students must bring their own lunch.
