Movie On-stage Parade Workshop Jan 2024
Create a Hollywood On-stage Movie Parade
You are the architect, designer and director of your own movie parade.
Let’s get creative – imagine you are the set designer at Movie World
BBC Robotics is hosting a two-day Movie On-stage Parade Workshop at the start of 2024. The workshop is suitable for boys and girls of all abilities in Years 3 to 6 and will focus on building STEAM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) skills through the use of LEGO Spike Prime kits. This workshop complements RoboCup’s OnStage challenges.
Students are to design, build and program robots to participate in a movie style float exhibition.
Participants are encouraged to be creative, as their imagination will allow them to extend and perfect a LEGO design. The workshop provides an opportunity for students to be exposed to a variety of motors, sensors and creative LEGO builds. It’s plenty of fun for the beginner builder and offers endless opportunities for creativity and extension in robotic engineering and design. Teachers and coaches will supervise the workshop. All computers and software will be provided, but students must bring their own lunch.
