38% of total NDIS participants list autism as a primary or secondary diagnosis, and, 57% of participants under 18 years old, currently list autism as their primary diagnosis. Knowing this, there is no doubt that the NDIS Review will primarily affect Autistic People.

We are optimistically hopeful that the Review will provide a comprehensive and effective, much needed overhaul, of the current system - providing improvements to assessment, intervention and support for autistic people and their families. We know that autism is a key area being examined by the Review and that changes will be coming particularly in the areas of early childhood and intervention.
