The stunning buildings and gardens they constructed have left an indelible stamp on India’s architectural and cultural landscape. Mughal architecture and the colourful personalities involved in their construction, fused elements from Islamic, Persian, Turkish and Indian architectural traditions, and gave rise to some of the most beautiful and iconic buildings in the world.
