This seminar will cover foundational knowledge about sleep disorders, relevant assessments, and frameworks of thinking when encountering sleep difficulties and common comorbidities in everyday practice in a format accessible for mental health clinicians. In particular, this presentation is suitable for people who want to learn more about topics such as whether they are dealing with a person presenting with insomnia or/and a circadian disorder, what are the indispensable tools of the trade that clinicians in this area often utilise, and when should sleep be prioritised.Dr Evan Chachos is a registered psychologist undertaking the clinical psychology registrar program at the Centre for Clinical Psychology. He recently completed a doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Monash University in the area of sleep, chronobiology and circadian rhythms. He has significant experience in the field of sleep and circadian rhythms, and remains involved in research within this area.
