Act 1 - SHARK & FOX | Emily-Rose Sarkova (AUS) + Jaron Freeman-Fox (CAN)
This irresistible Canadian-Australian collaboration shape-shifts between traditions, occasionally to the point where their instruments transform; a fiddle to viol d’amore or fretless guitar, an accordion to modular synthesiser, all driven by two acclaimed multi-instrumentalists and their penchant for musical mischief.
SHARK & FOX is a brand new union of musical minds from the likes of Jaron Freeman-Fox & The Opposite of Everything, Chaika and Emily-Rose & The Wild Things.
Their inaugural tour of Australia will include The National Folk Festival, Fairbridge Folk Festival and 20 stops along the way, including the much-loved audience at Wauchope Arts.
'Frenetic Bulgarian dances, haunting Appalachian twangs, droning Irish reels, Swedish polskor and songs are effortlessly yet meticulously woven together by the vast shared history of the fiddle and accordion as musical companions.'

Act 2 - Guanaco Trio
After touring South America and Europe, Guanaco Trio is making their Australian debut, and the music is sure to be sublime.
Guanaco Trío is an instrumental group made up of the Argentine-Catalan violinist Laura Urteaga, the Australian bandoneonist Owen Salomé and the Chilean guitarist Benjamín Aedo. Based in Buenos Aires, these three young musicians, from three different continents, share a love for Argentinian instrumental compositions; their compelling repertoire offers original works and interpretations of both traditional and contemporary Argentine folkloric music.
Their first album (recorded under the mentorship of Andrés Pilar at the emblematicION studios in Buenos Aires) is mesmerising. Created during the strict lockdown of 2020, “Bajo un mismo cielo” (“under the same sky”) was released by Shagrada Medra in February 2023.
Note the earlier start time!
