The Eldershaw Chronicles is an intricate, multi-layered story of love that spans sixty years - 1941- 2002. This new work for the stage is adapted from Stephen Edgar’s narrative verse novel, Eldershaw. Stephen Edgar was the recipient of 2021 Prime Minister’s Award for Poetry.Adapted for the stage by the director Gregory Aitken, The Eldershaw Chronicles received a creative development grant from the Regional Arts Fund. Audiences are invited to a special moved rehearsed reading of The Eldershaw Chronicles on 9 & 10 March. The Saturday moved reading is at 7.30 pm and Sunday’s at 6pm, followed Q&A about the development process.
The full production will be unveiled at the Drill Hall Theatre, Mullumbimby, in September 2024. Audiences are invited to enjoy witnessing how the creation of this wonderful new work unfolds.
