About
Ayur means ‘life’ and Veda means ‘knowledge’, so Ayurveda is often translated as the ‘science, or knowledge of life’. The basis of Ayurvedic philosophy is that the intelligence of the inner and outer worlds is inextricably connected. The five basic elements of ether, air, fire, water, and earth, combine in the body as three characteristic blends (Tri-Doshas): Vata (ether and air), Pitta (fire and water) and Kapha (earth and water). These constitutions have particular characteristics and traits and by understanding what our particular dosha is and which dosha is out of balance, we can then take actions that help to bring us back to homeostasis.Join Gyani for an afternoon workshop including:
~ Discussion on Ayurveda and the elements

~ Yoga practice with Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation to bring balance to the five Elements.
