The Canberra Miniature Railway is now a cashless venue - cash no longer accepted. Please bring your card/device.

Times & Facilities
You and your guests are welcome to be onsite for any or all of the time we're open. Feel free to come a little earlier to setup decorations etc. if you wish. If you arrive before our scheduled start time you can drive right up to our party area to unload but we ask that all vehicles be out and back in the car park by the start time. Your booking includes seating, table and a gas BBQ but not food or utensils. Electricity is not available in the party area but we can keep a cake in our fridge if required. Seating is limited (you may bring your own). Our canteen will be open for yummy hot and cold food and drinks - card payments only (NO CASH). Parking, toilets and disabled facilities are provided.

Cancellation policy
If you cancel more than seven days before the date of the party we will refund your fee. Regrettably we cannot refund if you cancel seven days or less before the date of the party due to the fact that we will be unable to resell your booking. If we cancel for any reason (likely to be for bad weather only) we will refund your fee.

One ticket included
Your fee includes one unlimited ride ticket for the birthday person (value $15) – please ask for this when you arrive at our ticket box.

Entry
For day time events there's no charge to enter the site so if any of your guests just wish to participate in your party without riding trains, they do not need to pay anything. For night events under lights all persons entering the site must have or buy a ticket which includes entry and unlimited rides.

Ticket prices
Unlimited ride tickets can be purchased online at trybooking.com/eventlist/CMR for $15 (plus the website’s 88c booking fee) at any time from now, including while we’re open on the day. When buying tickets make sure you select the correct date! Tickets bought over the counter at the ticket box are slightly more expensive at $18. For day time events only, single ride tickets are also available at the ticket box for $4. These are not available for night events.

Children
Children aged two and under enter and ride for free but must be accompanied on trains by a fare paying responsible person with his or her own ticket. Get your child’s free ticket at the ticket box upon presentation of the child. To ride unaccompanied, children must be taller than the indicators at our ticket box and station, which are approximately 1.4 metres high. Children shorter than our indicators cannot ride on their own and must be accompanied by a fare paying responsible person. There are no adult or child tickets – just unlimited ride tickets (and for day events only, single ride tickets) and except for children aged two or under, every person requires one of these to ride the trains. All children must be seated (not held in arms).

IMPORTANT
Any person wishing to ride the trains MUST WEAR ENCLOSED FOOTWEAR. No open-toe shoes, thongs, flip-flops, etc. are permitted on the trains. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL OF YOUR GUESTS ARE AWARE OF THIS as there can be no refunds if you wear the wrong footwear.
