MBRP integrates mindfulness and more traditional relapse prevention approaches to help clients more easily become aware of their triggers and reactions and improve their ability to choose to respond mindfully rather than automatically.
Unlike most MBRP training which is designed for groups, in this workshop you will learn how to introduce mindfulness based relapse prevention into your individual client work as well.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand how mindfulness practice can prevent relapse and how to communicate this easily and effectively to clients
- Learn key elements of MBRP including responding rather than reacting and practising acceptance and action.
- Learn strategies to assist clients to integrate mindfulness into everyday life and challenging situations
Who should attend:
This is a specialist skills workshop suitable for new and experienced practitioners and assumes basic knowledge of relapse prevention. We recommend you do our essential skills CBT workshops before attending this workshop. This workshop is suitable for workers in clinical settings.
