This glittering gala dinner celebrates the centenary of the1924 Paris Olympics and the influence northern beaches athletes have had in creating sporting pathways.The 1924 games are significant to the Manly Swimming Club as our very own Andrew Boy Charlton secured his inaugural Olympic Gold in the 1500m Freestyle. Of the 6 Australian medals won, the performance of local Manly athletes affiliated with our club was remarkable - earning 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze medal.
MC for the evening is Olympian Brooke Hanson OAM. Hear from Olympians and swimming heroes, enjoy a sumptuous three course meal with fabulous first-class entertainment with alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages.
All members of the community are welcome.
