Despite attempts by governments and agencies to reduce the incidence of Domestic Violence, women continue to be killed at a rate of more than one a week. But this is the tip of the iceberg, with a significant number of people suffering abuse and coercive control each and every day.Churches often believe that Domestic Violence does not happen within the families sitting in the pews each Sunday, but research shoes that Intimate Family Violence happens in church congregations at the same rate as within the wider community. Churches are not immune.
