Val's presents LGBTI+ Ageing & Aged Care awareness training - part 2 (via Zoom) for staff working in CHSP & community aged care support programs.This 2-hour, online session is via Zoom for staff working across CHSP &/or supporting older people in community care. You are required to have attended Part 1 module - LGBTI+ Awareness Training - Foundations (or previous Val's training).
This session is not LGBTI+ awareness information but will introduce &/or develop/foster LGBTI+ inclusion & action & will cover the following:
• An overview of sector requirements, diversity/inclusive practice frameworks, reforms relating to LGBTI+ inclusion
• Information about LGBTI+ inclusion, cultural safety & trauma informed care
• Tools for LGBTI+ inclusive practice
• Opportunities to workshop LGBTI+ inclusion as it relates to your care environment.
This session is CHSP SSD funded, & is appropriate for CHSP/community care staff. Note: a max. of 4 staff per org. per session.
