Major update of the Digital Assessment Library

The VCAA currently operates two online assessment platforms for schools in Victoria: the Insight Assessment Platform and the Digital Assessment Library (DAL). From Term 1 2025, the DAL is migrating to a new home, powered by the same platform used for the Insight Assessment Platform.

To support the transition, new functionality and enhancements in the DAL will offer a better experience for teachers and students with improved reporting, class grouping functions and real-time teacher dashboards.

From the start of Term 1, the DAL will feature new English and Mathematics assessments to support the Victorian Curriculum F-10 Version 2.0, along with Science and Health and Physical Education (Curriculum Version 1.0) continuing to be available.

Further assessments aligned to Version 2.0 of the curriculum will be released throughout 2025.

After the change, teachers will retain access historical DAL student results for up to two years.

The upgraded platform will continue to support all government, catholic and independent schools.

DAL Online Seminars

To support the transition, the VCAA will provide two online seminars to prepare teachers for the new reporting and functions in the DAL. The WebEx link will be emailed to attendees prior to the seminar.
