The sandstone wall of the Richard Wherrett Studio will provide an ambient setting for a nineteenth century jail, in Geoffrey Sykes’ new work “Australia Felix”. Set on eve of execution of George Clarke, escaped convict and explorer of a mythical inland of the country. A remarkable story of a runaway convict and explorer of a mythical river to a ferttile inland. Told by a travelling theatre company of the time, on the eve of the execution of the convict.
