Conceptual Television: The Ideas Behind Your Favourite Shows (SOLD OUT)
About
If you have ever wondered why certain ideas keep recurring in television, then this is the talk for you!
Why are we so interested in dystopia?
What is a zombie?
Why is amnesia so common in TV?
What does it mean to have a story based entirely upon a day that keeps getting repeated?
Tony Hughes-d'Aeth will be interviewed by Tama Leaver, Professor of Internet Studies at Curtin University.
This event will be a lively discussion of how television shows in the streaming era have begun to ask fundamental questions about life in the modern world.
