Tony Hughes-d'Aeth will be interviewed by Tama Leaver, Professor of Internet Studies at Curtin University.
This event will be a lively discussion of how television shows in the streaming era have begun to ask fundamental questions about life in the modern world.
About the author
Tony Hughes-d’Aeth is the Chair of Australian Literature at the University of Western Australia. He teaches a number of subjects at UWA, including ‘Narrative in the Digital Age’ and ‘Netflicks: Cinema and Long-form Television’. Tony is also the co-editor, with Sarah Collins, of the ‘Vignettes’ series at UWA Publishing. This series aims to share knowledges that are emerging in the contemporary university and that consider the complexities of modern life.
Tama Leaver is Professor of Internet Studies at Curtin University. His books include Artificial Culture: Identity, Technology and Bodies (Routledge, 2012) and Instagram: Visual Social Media Cultures (Polity, 2020).
