First Aid for Dancers

Australia’s first nationally accredited dancer-specific first aid course, with content related specifically to the dancer, dance teacher or studio owner.
This course aims to provide dancers, dance teachers and studio owners with essential first aid skills and techniques for safeguarding within the studio.
Content includes resuscitation, trauma, medical, dance specifics, minor incidents and environment, envenomation and poisoning, and legal, workplace and community considerations.
On completion of the course, participants will receive:
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
The full First Aid course is a blended format of:
- 3 hours of self-paced eLearning
- 1 hour face-to-face practical assessment
The CPR only refresher course is a blended format of:
- 25 minutes self-paced eLearning
- 30 minutes face-to-face practical assessment

Full First Aid course - 4 hours time-valued CPD
CPR only refresher course - 1 hour time-valued CPD
