Badinage - Album Launch
Post-rock instrumental trio Badinage will be launching Mustang, the first single from their forthcoming full-length album, at a special George Lane matinee session. Mustang is the latest instalment in the Badinage garage lounge soundscape of lush multi-instrumental tunes blending elements of psychedelia, smoky jazz, lazy grunge and rock.
The guitar-driven ambient music of Badinage draws a hazy, atmospheric line from the early psychedelia of Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green and Pink Floyd, through the 90s jazz-tinged slowcore of Spain, to the turn-of-the-century post-rock of groups such as Dirty Three, Mogwai and Sigur Rós.
Badinage are: Simon Capp (Rhythm Pigs, Blue Ruin), Dave Reid (Speedway, The Likely Lads, Yard Dogs) and Matt Omond (Cactus, Still Life Clowns, The Ayatollahs). Meander and the forthcoming album were recorded and produced by Phill Calvert (The Boys Next Door/The Birthday Party, Psychedelic Furs, Blue Ruin).
