FHRI Fund March 2024 Open Day
change of event location
The next WA Government’s Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund Open Day will be held on Friday 8 March 2024.
Please note there has been a change to the location and the event will now be held in Perth in the McCusker Auditorium at the Harry Perkins Institute for Medical Research at QEII in Nedlands.
The event will provide an opportunity for attendees to hear about exciting WA health and medical research and innovation developments, and gain information about FHRI Fund programs open for applications, as well as recently awarded FHRI Fund grant recipients.
Aligned with International Women’s Day on 8 March 2024, the FHRI Fund Open Day will have a theme of ‘Women’s and children’s health’ with an emphasis on research and innovation in partnership with Aboriginal communities in the Pilbara.
For those attending in person, the March Open Day will also offer the unique opportunity to engage in interactive demonstrations by select finalists from The Challenge, who are pioneering ground-breaking solutions to improve health care delivery in the Pilbara.
Hosted by the WA Department of Health’s Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI) in collaboration with the WA Centre for Rural Health (WACRH) and the Pilbara Aboriginal Health Alliance (PAHA), this event will feature addresses from distinguished speakers including FHRI Fund Advisory Council Members and other prominent speakers from the Pilbara and the WA health and medical research and innovation community.
