About
Women of Gold is a public art project showcasing diverse groups of women and their contributions to our community.In a powerful statement, women from different industries and backgrounds will stand together to discuss leadership, career, community and motherhood to highlight the value of women's paid and unpaid contributions, the impact of diverse storytelling, and the International Women’s Day theme, ‘Count Her In: Accelerating gender equality through economic empowerment’.
The multimedia, immersive experience includes a short film (shot by Mitch Nivalis), podcast series, a soundscape of women’s voices (from our own Aimee Chapman) and artwork (by the incredible Sara McQueenie, Annie Brigdale, Julie Andrews, Ginny Jeong, Rhayven Jane and Lauren Starr) exhibited at Pennyweight Outdoor Story Gallery.
Join us with creator, Megan Champion, artists and special guests, to launch the Women of Gold project and celebrate women in our community through the power of art.
