In this workshop participants we will be creating wearable Kintsugi accessories by embracing the profound metaphor of Kintsugi – the Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with precious materials such as gold.This class centres on finding beauty in repairing and combining broken ceramics with gold. By investing time and thought into your project you not only craft something new but also emphasise the inherent beauty in the broken. This experience is particularly poignant for individuals navigating grief, loss or difficult times.
Offering a symbolic and tangible representation of finding new beauty in the imperfections, teaching us about the importance of acceptance of imperfection.
