 CARRUM DOWNS HOUSE CONCERTS  is delighted to have been selected by RICK HART as a venue for the launch of his new album 'IN THE MIDNIGHT SKY ALONE' Rick is one of the top Soulful Alt Country artists in Australia and this new album has been a labour of love for Rick for some time and has been beautifully co - produced and recorded by Damian Cafarella and Lachlan Bryan at EOR Studio in Edithvale. Rick has presented the album at several full band shows but wanted to present a very special intimate show at this exclusive House Concert, as he did at a sold out event here when he released is last highly aclaimed album 'Let Me In' in 2017. Rick is a great storyteller in his songs and has quite diverse influences, Rolling Stones , Kris Kristofferson, Tom Petty, Merle Haggard, Gram Parsons,The Band and Bruce Springsteen. Rick's songwriting has earned him many songwriting awards and praise from many artists he has played alongside including country music icon Bill Chambers who stated that Rick is a 'superb songwriter' and has had Rick join him on stage at several events.  Rick is accompanied by the beautiful voice of his wife Vanessa.  We are also very fortunate to have the very talented artist STEFANIE DUZEL join us to support Rick. I first saw Stefanie after an event at the hotel she owned, The Macedon Railway Hotel (which sadly closed after severe fire damage) ,when artists were sitting around playing a few songs. Stefanie was encouraged to play a couple of songs and I became an instant fan. As it turns out Rick Hart and Stefanie have played together at gigs in the past so it will be great to have her along. Stefanie fits into the Americana category perfectly. Her strong bluesy vocals are stunning, as are her original songs on her album 'THE OTHER SIDE' released in March 2023 and also produced and recorded at EOR Studio. This will be a wonderful afternoon of music.   VENUE:  is a large single story ground level unit and has professional sound and lighting in our main room and there is heating and airconditioning. There is a covered outdoor area. There is adequate parking in the street. The address is provided on the tickets. Even in daylight hours, we create an intimate setting by blocking outside light during the show to create a club like atmosphere. We do want guests to feel at home and interact with each other and the artists.  We provide a BBQ lunch and tea coffee and water and there will be a break at around 3pm for afternoon tea. Guests are welcome to bring other beverages. Please advise us if you have any special dietry requirements but we do have gluten free options available. We ask that guests arrive at 1pm for lunch, Stefanie will appear at 2pm and Rick Hart at around 3.30 to 3.45pm.  Show finishes at around 5pm and guests are encouraged to avail themselves of the artists merchandise and of course meet and chat with the artists. All funds from tickets goes to the artists, other costs are covered by the venue. We will be holding a couple of lucky draws with some great prizes supplied by the artists and the venue   Book Early.  I must emphasise that House Concerts here usually sell out. We only have 36 seats all of which are great seats up close to the artists.
