Put Mike McClellan in there and there’s no competition.”When American folk icon Judy Collins says, “Ami Williamson is a genius, my favourite act at the Port Fairy Folk Music Festival!” you can safely assume Ami is also pretty damned good.
Ami Williamson is a rare performer, having been classically trained in music and theatre, but whose musical instincts also draw on the folk music she loved growing up as the daughter of John Williamson. She writes, plays several instruments, sings like a dream and absolutely owns the stage.
Put the two of them in concert together and you have a unique combination of two remarkable talents who, at the end of the evening, will share the stage to perform some of the classic songs they love from the folk era.
