Nat Bartsch: Solo Keyboard at Bendigo Art Gallery
About
Nat Bartsch’s music has formed the background to many deeply personal life moments including births and deaths, and whilst she is best known for her lullabies, Nat’s musical diversity spans the spectrum from neoclassical, jazz, chamber music, children's music, and post rock. Her albums have twice earned ARIA nominations and been performed domestically and internationally as a solo artist and with many of Australia's leading musicians. Nat is proudly neurodivergent. This performance is inspired by ‘Music D’ameublement’, (furniture music) a term coined by Eric Satie at the end of La Belle Epoque and during his time performing in the salons of Montmatre to describe the music played as background... music that enhanced and became part of the atmosphere.
