Long Form Fundamentals | Impro Course with On the Fly

Popularised by groups like Middleditch & Schwartz, long form impro involves crafting a full show from one or more audience suggestions (or sometimes none). Whether through a cohesive narrative, thematic links or the use of consistent impro technique, the aim is to create a satisfying overall experience for audience and players alike.In this 7-week course, explore the techniques at the core of creating long form impro and learn core long impro formats played by improvisers all around the world.
Prerequisites
At least four terms (equalling 12 months) at On the Fly, including Intro to Impro, Narrative Know-How and Physicality & Stagecraft, or equivalent.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing so as to facilitate movement. Our classes involve verbal communication and physical movement, and participants are encouraged to participate to whatever extent their comfort permits. TICKETING INFORMATION
On The Fly recommends participants enrol in the whole term of classes to receive the full experience: each week builds on those preceding to teach a complete curriculum. Tickets for individual classes will be made available near the start of term.Concession prices are available to individuals who are on a low income. For example: full-time students, government-issued health care card holders, people who are unemployed, pensioners, and seniors card holders. On the Fly Impro does not require proof of concession.
