ON Saturday, April 13, 2024, the stylish, horn-led John Montesante Dectet featuring two exceptional jazz singers,Georgia Brooks and Craig Schneider, shall perform at the Ruby Carter Jazz Lounge, St Kilda, flanked by ten of Australia's revered Jazz musicians.This is an opportunity to Immerse yourself in a rich tapestry of jazz history, when this modern jazz ensemble performs dedicated band arrangements of timeless classics from the Blue Note and Bebop eras, alongside more contemporary Jazz repertoire - creating a unique fusion of past and present.
Singer Georgia Brooks has a great command of melody, harmony & rhythm and can really make a song groove, effortlessly blending in with her accomplished sidemen. She will be joined by vocalist Craig Schneider, who is a multi award-winning pianist, singer, composer, arranger, and musical director. Equally at home on the concert stage or in an intimate jazz club, or cabaret venue, he has performed all over the world.
