In an exclusive event at a private Sydney home, architectural photographer Eric Sierins recalls his time at Max Dupain & Associates, as well as Dupain's connection to Castlecrag. Included is a display of Dupain photographs of selected Griffin homes at Castlecrag.Max Dupain moved to Castlecrag in 1953, living in The Scarp in a house designed by modernist Australian architect Arthur Baldwinson. Until his death in 1992, Dupain extensively photographed this Sydney harbour-side suburb.
Joining Max Dupain & Associates in 1989, architectural photographer Eric Sierins gained not only professional knowledge but personal insights into the creative practice of Dupain. Through an illustrated talk, starting at 3.30pm, Sierins will share his memories of working with this renowned Australian photographer. On display will be Dupain photographs of a selection of the Castlecrag Griffin homes. These unique fine art prints were made from the Dupain original negatives by Sierins and will be for sale
