Always in the Waiting Room (SOLD OUT)
A live arts performance work in progress about living with an unruly body by Sandra Minchin-Delohery.
Sandra uses her body as a contested site. Her body is both the site and material for her arts practice which includes experiments in performance and live arts, video, photography, and objects. Through her work she investigates representations of a non-ideal sick female body and examines how illness/pain can be framed as beauty. This practise has led her into a rich field of inquiry.
Performances will take place every 15 minutes. The performance is an experience for one audience member at a time.
Always in the Waiting Room is created and produced through Punctum’s regionally based Seedpod residency program with the generous support of Creative City Ballarat and Ballarat Trades Hall.
Always in the Waiting Room’s creation and presentation takes place on the lands of the Djaara and Wadawurrung people. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and their living cultures.
