Creating Authentic Christian Communities Online
In 2024 the CMLA hosts conversations about streaming and recording online worship effectively, and about developing genuine, discipling communities that blend face-to-face and digital engagement. The aim is to encourage a community of practice among ministry leaders who discuss and reflect together on how they are developing digital ministry.
Each gathering will be hosted by a congregation involved in building an online community, where we will see and hear about their purposes and practices. We will also explore wider learnings about digital ministry and mission, particularly from churches in Australia and New Zealand.
CMLA will also set up a peer chat group online and curate online learning resources to assist ministry leaders exploring worship, ministry and mission in a digital world.
The gatherings and online resourcing will be co-ordinated by Dr Craig Mitchell, who has studied and taught in the area of digital communication.
