Waverly City Archers - Four Week Beginners CourseRuns Saturday mornings, 9:15 am - 12:00pm.
WCA Beginners Courses are a four week, three-hour Saturday morning session designed to teach students archery basics and safety protocols. Students are taught the five principles of Stance, Grip, Draw, Aim and Release under the supervision of qualified archery coaches.
Students new to archery must complete an introductory Beginners Course before being eligible to join the club and free shoot on the range.
Students are introduced to the different types of bows. All equipment is provided. Please do not purchase any equipment prior to the course. Guidance on equipment purchase is provided as part of the course.
Juniors must be at least 10 years old and under eighteen years of age. Juniors 15 or under must be under parent supervision.
Note that for safety reasons all students must be able to understand instructions in English or be accompanied by an interpreter.
