You are invited to this very special FREE Reconciliation Week event on Wednesday 29 May with Pitjantjatjara and Mirning singer-songwriter Uncle Bart Willoughby.Held at Mount Waverley Community Centre from 6.30pm-8pm, experience this unique and powerful performer known for his fusion of reggae with traditional influences. As a member of the Stolen Generation, Uncle Bart’s music is incredibly moving and deeply rooted in personal and cultural heritage.
The event is a part of National Reconciliation Week, which runs from 27 May - 3 June 2024. This year's theme 'Now More Than Ever' is a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will — and must — continue.
