Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June 2024
 

DAY 1

FRIDAY 14 JUNE 2024

Board our heritage train at either Southern Cross, Broadmeadows or Seymour and settle back in our 1937 compartment cars that once featured on the iconic ‘Spirit of Progress’ or comfortable saloon cars.

The train features a fully stocked kiosk serving refreshments or head to the Observation-Parlor car for a drink with friends while you take in the stunning views. Lunch will be served in the Dining Car.  After Benalla the train will head onto the rarely travelled Oaklands Branch where we will make stops at 2 of the 4 spectacular silo art sites (weather permitting). After arriving at Yarrawonga you will be tranferred to your accommodation to check in. Dinner tonight is at your hotel. (L,D)

DAY 2

SATURDAY 15 JUNE 2024

Today there are two optional tours (not three that are specified in the image below) to choose from - exploring the wine region of Rutherglen or join us back aboard the train for a return journey to Benalla 

For those wanting to do their own thing,   your day is free to do as you choose. Either relax at your hotel for the day, play a round of golf (there are two courses to choose from) or explore Yarrawonga with its shops, restaurants and lakeside pubs. (B)

DAY 3

SUNDAY 16 JUNE 2024

This morning enjoy a trip to Corowa in NSW including a visit to Corowa Whisky Distillery for a tour, whisky tastings and lunch (changed from our initial offering of a cruise on Lake Mulwala due to low water levels for mainenance works).  Guests will be transferred to Yarrawonga Station for our mid-afternoon departure.  Join us in the Dining Car for dinner as we head for Seymour, Broadmeadows or Southern Cross at the end of our Murraylands adventure. Please note we have made some changes due to the lake cruise being unavailable due to lowering of water levels for maintenance works.
