"The project starts with all you lovely locals making a simple drawing of a plant and ends up with you creating a unique piece of fabric, printed and embellished with an array of plant life based on all the drawings from the group. This piece of fabric is yours to keep."This project (no prior experience in drawing or stitching required) is at Tiliqua Tiliqua Gallery, Enmore & includes:
- 60 min plant drawing workshop with Julie, 10 am OR 11.30 AM, Sun 23 June (optional)
- Julie's 5 day residency creating & printing stencils from everyone's plant drawings onto 10 mtrs of linen - everyone welcome to attend when they can, 23-27 June
- Attending the ''cutting of the clothâ when the Community Garden linen is cut into pieces
- 90 x 45cm piece of this Community Garden fabric to stitch on & keep
- 6 weekly stitching sessions, light refreshments, 6-8 pm, Thursdays, 1 August -5 Sept.
- Final presentation, Thurs 19 Sept - Sun 22 Sept, with celebratory drinks
