Hosting Nature - Online Symposium
A Live & Online Symposium curated by Michael McCoy
Saturday 27th April, 2024 | 9am - 12pm (AEST)
About
What an incredible privilege, that we get to share our gardens with untold numbers of critters and life-forms - many of them still unidentified and unnamed!I’m keen to explore what we as home gardeners and designers can do to most respectfully ‘host’ these life-forms, above and below ground. Not only are they critical to the healthy functioning of the planet, an awareness of their presence, and our role in nurturing them, can add so much to the sense of wonder our gardens can provide.
But I’m also keen to bust a whole lot of the myths that are starting to develop around the growing consciousness of biodiversity, and the hugely exciting wilding, or rewilding movements as they relate to gardens, and to put under scrutiny the subtle shift from what we could do to what we should do.
Guest contributors incl: Isabella Tree, James Hitchmough, Emma Cutting, John Little and more.
Ticket holders get access to the 3 hr live event, plus 5 hrs of extended interviews.
