As a celebration of Queensland Day, Mother and Son, one of Australia’s best-known and most popular television series, will be brought to life on stage by Theatre Redlands at Redland Museum.

The play, by Geoffrey Atherden, the playwright who penned the TV series, will draw audiences into the intimate and occasionally dysfunctional world of the Beare family;
Maggie, the increasingly forgetful mother, her live-in, over-wrought son Arthur, his opportunistic and socially successful brother Robert, Robert’s ultra-snob wife Liz and a parade of lesser beings who are entangled in the domestic saga of the Beares.

The Museum is open from 10.00am so you are welcome to arrive anytime. | Lunch is served promptly at 12.30pm | The Curtain will rise at 1.30pm | Conclude 4.00pm

Seating for the Show
Upon booking your tickets, please choose your seat row and number carefully. Single Tier theatre-style seating, in our air-conditioned theatre is allocated and confirmed upon payment, therefore cannot be changed.

Seating for Lunch / Dinner
You and your guests will be seated together inside the Museum for lunch and dinner. If you have a group of friends attending that you would like to be seated with for lunch / dinner, you can make a request, however we cannot guarantee we can always accommodate all requests.
