About
"Things I Know to Be True" is a modern family drama and love story, written by Andrew Bovell, author of "Speaking in Tongues."
The action plays in the home of the Price family in Hallet Cove, a working class suburb of Adelaide where we meet Mum, Dad and their four adult children. Mum, a hard working nurse, Dad a retrenched auto worker who loves his garden have devoted their lives to raising the family in a loving environment. It becomes clear that each of the four siblings has something deeper to share, truths which shake Mum and Dad’s understanding of their simpler comfortable world. Love and devotion to family are core themes in this excellent Australian play.
Director Kellie Tweeddale directs this dynamic and moving play for Warrandyte Theatre Company after a successful run for Peridot Theatre in 2023.
